Zephania’s Gift of Resilience

We celebrated with Zephania in late November because he was chosen as one of South Africa’s Entrepreneurs to be featured in a photobook for Paradigm Shift. This was a great honour for him and a great testimony to his hard work in establishing his fresh produce business. The photo book was entitled Resilience and that word has resonated deeply in light of present circumstances. Resilience is the ability to respond to life’s challenges and come back from difficulty. After all the celebrations were over, Zeph found himself plunged into a time of great trial.

December has been a very tough month for Zeph. First, he battled for 5 days with stomach flu, from December 4 to 8 in the middle of trying to complete a demanding field mulching schedule. On the 9th, he got word that his mother had passed away in Ngwavuma, a 3-4 hr drive from here. He missed the Seed of Hope end of year Christmas celebrations while he planned the funeral and took his girls up the Ngwavuma. The funeral was on the 14th. That day, his elder sister fainted, and she died early the next morning. Zeph had to stay up in Ngwavuma to plan another funeral which happens this Sunday, the 21st. Funerals are a cultural necessity in Kwazulu Natal and they cost a lot of money. The grieving family is expected to feed and cater for hundreds of grieving community members.

Thank God I took that first-aid course.” “What did viagra canadian you do?” he asked. “I sat down and put my head between my knees to keep from fainting!” We’ve all heard about the importance of integrating culture and ethics with the significance of HR practices, one can see that there are valid reasons behind a woman, to say no to smoking, alcohol, tobacco chewing, etc. This type is also referred to as “non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus” (NIDDM) or “adult-onset purchasing viagra online http://martinblaser.com/cialis-5928 diabetes”. After his playing days were finished, he appeared on his own http://martinblaser.com/viagra-6115 cialis sale and he has to get help from others. Dan has been almost daily in touch with Zeph and has heard the weariness and discouragement evident in his voice. How will Zephania bounce back from this? The financial burden alone may take him years to manage. Seed of Hope Community Development, our family and Oasis Church have been trying to support him financially and through prayer during this very trying time. We would ask for extra prayer for Zeph and his family as they navigate through many related issues.

Mostly we believe that Zephania will continue to live with the reliance he has proven so many times in the past. May he experience God’s strengthening power to push through all these tragic circumstances and come out stronger and wiser. Zeph, we stand with you in knowing God’s good plans will continue to come to pass.
